Silk is a living material that needs to "breathe" so avoid storing it for long periods of time in plastic.  Carry your silk with you in your purse to wrap around your shoulders in air conditioned restaurants.  Wear your silk wrapped around you to the beach.  These silks are easy to care for, simply hand wash in cool water and lay flat to dry.
